1 Cor 2:9-11: "’No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him’— but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.” During

Preparation is required for a dive…..gathering and checking the necessary gear, getting to the right place, double checking everything with a partner. I went through a similar process before Kristi and I prayed together this morning, gathering my favorite devotional materials, setting my heart to the right place, connecting with my best friend for a buddy check. Then there comes that scuba diving moment of engaging with a new air source, placing the regulator into the mouth with an initial deliberate exhale to clear anything blocking the passage in order to breathe in the depths. At the same time, the diver releases the air out of the buoyancy compensator vest that keeps him/her floating on the surface. The exhale and the release of air are both necessary for the submerged experience. Both take a step of faith that is almost immediately rewarded by the joy of a deeper experience, going to new places hidden from those walking in the limited perspective of a material world. Help me to breathe out in order to breathe in, Lord. Every breath that I take, every moment I’m awake, Lord, have YOUR way with me. Take me to the deeper places that are higher than I, no longer on the surface with artificial floatation compensators of the world. Through the faithful release of the air that I live in naturally, I ask for the grace of a supernatural deeper life overflowing into a blessing of ministry. Luke 5:4: “When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch." Would you like to be on the reminder list?
