Luke 15:4-6
"Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’” Matt 18:14 “In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost.” It is calving time here in Montana.....cows
are birthing their new little ones. We had a great testimony
in church yesterday from a local rancher who had a cow and calf turn up missing.
He talked about how he poured his heart and energy into finding those lost
ones. The search was top priority, the most important thing he could
do, with an urgency in the air. He talked about the incredible
relief, joy, and celebration when he found them and got them back to
safety with the others feeding at the place of healthy food.
As he reflected, he expressed how he sensed the heart of God for lost people. God pours it all into finding the lost ones and getting them to safety. It is top priority and there is an urgency in the air. He invites us to saddle up and join HIM in that pursuit and search. As new calves are being born in Montana, new lives are being reborn around the world--- and we can have a part in that. This Montana rancher inspired us to experience God’s heartbeat for lost and helpless people in a dangerous and hopeless world! He is seeking worshipers who feed on heavenly manna and fellowship in the safety of believing communities. Joining Him in the pursuit is worth everything……saddle up! Luke 15:9-10
And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.' In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." Luke 15:24 “For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So they began to celebrate.” Luke 15:32 “But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.'"
