We had a wonderful time in Hawaii welcoming Zachary back to his home base on Oahu, the USMC base near Kailua. Some snapshots of our vacation, starting with meeting him at the airport:
One of the first things we did was go scuba diving.......
We also helped Zach get moved into his new room on base.......
His base is a great place.........
We had some wonderful times at the beach, talking, playing, having fun. One of the memories we will cherish was playing together in the waves.......
We also enjoyed doing some boogie boarding on the North Shore......
Thanks to Priceline, we were able to get a decent hotel near Honolulu......
We also toured Pearl Harbor........
One of the signs that caught our attention was of the commander of the Japanese planes that attacked Pearl Harbor. He later did a u-turn with his life and experienced the grace and forgiveness of God.......
