We enjoyed a wonderful visit
with a friend the other day, and as
we talked I noticed a scribbled picture sitting the coffee table. He explained that
it started with the scribblings of his granddaughter.
My life has at times felt
like that......Just some scribbled, ramdom events
and shapes and
dots left unconnected. I've at
times been unsure where
things fit in the portrait of my life. There
have been some lines I’d like to erase, other
memories and experiences that I’d like to see emerge into
some kind of meaningful purpose.
What our friend did with the
scribblings of his
granddaughter is amazing. He
transformed the scribbles into something very meaningful.
How much more does God take all the things
of our lives and work them to the good, to accomplish his purpose of
making us
more like Jesus.
Lord, take my scribbles and
turn them into a meaningful
portrait that attracts others to you.

Rom 8:28-29
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of
those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to
be conformed to the likeness of his Son....."
