Thanksgiving Snow
 
We had a wonderful time over Thanksgiving holidays in Montana, hunting elk with a good friend.   Searching around in the snow for fresh tracks, my heart was drawn to the imprints of Scripture that talk about “white as snow”……..
 
Ps 51:7---“Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;  wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.”
 
Isa 1:18----"Come now, let us reason together,"
says the LORD.  Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow ;  though they are red as crimson,  they shall be like wool.
 
Dan 7:9---“As I looked, thrones were set in place,  and the Ancient of Days took his seat.
His clothing was as white as snow ;   the hair of his head was white like wool.”
 
Rev 1:14---“His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow , and his eyes were like blazing fire.”
 
            I found some old animal tracks that were almost filled in by fresh snow.  With the next snowfall, they will be completely covered.   It’s refreshing to know  that the old sins I have tracked in, the places I have walked where I shouldn’t have, the imprints I have left on people that I wish I could take back, the valleys through which I have wandered without purpose……can all be forgiven and filled in with a fresh snowfall of grace, no longer to be seen.    It was fun walking in new snow, like it’s fun to walk in holiness and grace under the control of God’s hand in my life.  New snow makes everything fresh and  beautiful.   So does God’s fresh forgiveness and Grace.  
 
Lam 3:22-23
Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.  They are new every morning;   great is your faithfulness.
