Eccl 10:18 Kristi and I are so thankful to be in a church
of workers. We recently discovered that the foundation of
the church building had serious cracks through which water was leaking into
the kitchen in heavy rains and melting snow. People
didn’t waste time, nor did their hands remain idle. The cracks
were located and sealed, but only after some significant digging.
It was so encouraging to walk into the kitchen after some heavy snowmelt the last few days and see no sign of leaks. The foundation is strong and secure. So is the spiritual foundation upon which we are building. There have been a few cracks that needed repair, and God has been so gracious in the process of identifying and sealing the areas in need of attention. We are very excited about the season ahead, knowing that we are building on the work of many who have gone before, secure on the foundation of Jesus Christ. 1 Cor 3:9-12…. “For we are God's fellow workers
; you are God's field, God's building. By the grace God has given me,
I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on
it. But each one should be careful how he builds. For no one can lay
any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.”
