  Courageous Love

  It has been a week since the Charlie Kirk assassination. He was a man of courageous faith.

   I’m thinking about this verse in Joshua 1:9, “Be strong and courageous, for the Lord is with you wherever you go.”    

  What does it mean to be strong and courageous?

  It starts at the cross.  Jesus laid down His life for us, he took our place, He died for our sins.  That is the strongest most courageous thing that has ever been done in our universe, and it came out of love.

  How are we to respond?

  We believe the truth.  We walk in the truth. We stand in the truth.  We proclaim truth. We let our lives speak truth.  We fight for the truth in love.  We live the truth with courageous love.

  Jesus IS the truth.  (John 14:6)

  Truth like Joshua 1:9…. “…for the Lord is with you wherever you go.”

  Be strong and courageous!
