  Robbing Ravens

  On Easter Sunday we helped the Lion’s Club with an Easter Egg hunt in the park.  It was a great event, a lot of fun, but I was surprised by one of the tasks that needed to be accomplished.

   

  Kris and I began our service by being on "Raven duty."  What?

   

  Once the decorated hard-boiled eggs were hidden out in the field, the Ravens were ready to swoop down and grab them.  I observed 4 of them dive-bombing in to grab eggs, flying away with them in their claws or in their mouths. 

   

  I thought about John 10:10--- “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life,  and have it to the full.”

   

  I want the fullness of life Jesus has for me, including the many blessings along the way that are sometimes like colored eggs….hidden blessings and treasures from God that I get to search for.

   

  I’m also aware of the need to be alert to the joy robbers, like the robbing Ravens. 

   

  May the treasures of God’s blessings for you be hidden from the joy robbers today.  May the richness of His presence be a deep source of blessing that joy robbing circumstances can’t touch.
